Based on the love Jonas developed for yarn and especially crochet during a difficult period in his life, he has written a book containing 10 guides that can be mixed and matched as you wish. It is a story about enjoying the process just as much as the finished result and about allowing yourself to change direction along the way. The goal is to give space for personal design, ro play with different yarn and stitch types and thereby crochet completely unique and personal additions to your wardrobe. Projects are adjusted to the size the reader feels fits their own body. There is no such thing as "boy's clothes" or "girls' clothes," and it does not matter whether you want to crochet an XXXS or an XXXL. In fact, no sizes are mentioned anywhere - the reader measures themselves to acheive the exact size they prefer.
In addition to guides, the book includes ideas for simple additions such as beads and brushed yarn, as well as guides for creating your own prints with color changes and surface crochet. The whole idea is to show the reader how wonderful crochet is, and how many different possibilities it offers.
JONAS PEJSTRUP has worked as a floral designer, but today he has replaced flowers with yarn and a crochet hook. He often shares his creations and creative processes on social media. Recently, he took part in a project with RE:DESIGNED, where he highlighted how this simple craft can have a positive impact on mental health. Freestyle crochet became an important part of his path out of depression.
