The Nordkapp cardigan is a cozy, oversized cardigan knitted in half-brioche. It is knitted from the top down, allowing for easy adjustment in length. The front edges are knitted in double knitting, starting at the center back of the collar. The beautiful shoulder and raglan construction creates a lovely drape over the shoulders and provides a fun knitting challenge.
The pattern's technical constructions are thorougly explained, and there are many tutorial pohots in the pattern to help guide you.
TIP: The cardigan also looks great in a shorter version. By finishing two buttons earlier, you get a wonderful short cardigan that ends at the hips.

*Which size should you choose?
The given measurements are for the finished cardigan when the specified gauge is adhered to and the sweater is washed. The cardigan has approx. 15-18 cm of positive ease at the chest, resulting in a loose, oversized fit.
When choosing the size to knit, select based on the chest width in the chart.
The chest width in the pattern is the finished circumference of the cardigan when the gauge is followed and the sweater is washed. You can adjust the length of the body and sleeves by knitting a few more or fewer rows.
Measure your chest and decide how much extra width you want for your cardigan. We rocmmend choosing the size where the chest width is 10-18 cm larger than your own chest measurement for an oversized look. If you prefer a narrower fit, base your choice on 5-13 cm larger that your own chest measurement. You might want to compare with the chest width of a favorite cardigan in your wardrobe. If you fall between two sizes, choose the smaller size, as half-broiche tends to stretch with wear.
